The house on the hill was lovely, really. I'm sure people can get the best of their backyards when they've got a slope of about fifty degrees. And letting that yard become overrun with a carpet of long, slippery grass? Makes it picturesque. ... Okay, planting every thorny kind of plant imaginable at regular intervals?

We're starting to tread into the realm of what the hell, here.

You can imagine what happened to us, me and Bryce. Repeatedly. I don't know how we avoided getting stabbed in the face as we slid and flailed around.

We also broke into the abandoned house and looked through all the stuff that'd been left behind, though, so I don't know if we can complain that much.

My job has bizarre perks.

Ours are kind of like huge rosebushes, only without the redeemingly pretty flowers at some times of the year. IT IS GOOD TO AVOID TREES THAT HATE YOU, YOU KNOW.

Does this mean your dad's gonna have regular work for you again, or was this a oneshot?

I dunno if these had flowers! Maybe I should return in the spring! I TRIED. BUT WHEN I SLIPPED ON THE GRASS AND STARTED SLIDING DOWN THE HILL, THEY WERE HARD TO AVOID.
