when i wake up, well i know i'm gonna be;

I BOUGHT A CAR.

No, wait.

Most importantly! I fucking called the Iron Man stand up at work. Once we're done advertising the thing, it's mine, and it's awesome. This is what I consider my greatest accomplishment of the day.

I also bought a 2007 Chevy Colorado. It looks pretty much exactly like this. I've barely gotten to drive the thing, so far. I know it's bright red, I know it's a stick shift and I know I spent more on it than I ever imagined myself spending on anything ever, oh my god, [panicpanicpanic], and the paperwork made me an hour and half late to work. I borrowed my brother's bike and rode like the fucking wind to get there, after. I recall sending a few panicked text messages to [livejournal.com profile] levade, [livejournal.com profile] pushpushlady, and [livejournal.com profile] yamiaudra, but NONE OF YOU ANSWERED before the battery on my phone died so I was left to seek comfort from my mother, who told me that, hey, even if this was a horrible financial decision and I lost everything, it looks big enough to sleep in!

... I think I might drive it somewhere.

Pffffft.

I like it! My only issue with it so far is that it's super hard to get out of our driveway--our driveway is very steep, so when you put it in reverse it immediately begins to roll very quickly into our garage door, giving you one or two seconds to correctly apply the gas and get off the clutch. When I have trouble, which is often, most everyone assumes that, clearly, I don't know how to drive manual. And then they explain it to me. Things I already know. In detail.

Otherwise, it's awesome! Pretty much exactly what I was looking for, except much newer than I was expecting to get.

I DIDN'T HAVE MY PHONE ON ME.

That's pretty good! And your troubles will soon be minimized by experience~
