Despite my complete and utter hatred of Batman Begins—which I've ranted to my friends about probably more times than they appreciate—I'm pretty excited to see the new one in, oh, three or four hours. Alas, that I have a final exam tomorrow, so Bryce and I are dragging our books along with us for the long wait in line.

This gives me about one more hour to finish writing various reports and complete various labs, and all I can think is, "Huh, I wonder what it is about my writing style that makes it unsuitable for this particular fandom? Maybe if I changed it to present tense and made the sentences shorter, with more description..."

Being unbearable geeky and pretentious is an art form I have perfected. As is avoiding my homework!

Pretty soon, probably! Whenever everyone wants to wait for the movie. I don't actually have a whole lot to do, which is why I think it's taking me so long to finish the work! I HAVE PLENTY OF TIME, I think to myself, even if I know I do not.

Ouch. What do you have? I've just got a few one page reports and lab questions, and since I've got 70% on labs and labs are only worth 10% of the total grade, I'm not putting a huge priority on them, anyway. It's the final that's probably gonna kill me...

To randomly butt in on an upthread conversation, I feel kind of bad that I don't think I'll be able to accept Heath Ledger's Joker in any way, shape or form. His makeup is wrong.

The flames were not indicative of a changed take on the character! They were to add visual interest for filming, because all-blue things were bad in the lighting they were going for.

Probably the original makeup was too cartoony for the look of the new movie series, in this case! Or whatever reason they had, it was probably similar to the flame thing.

It wasn't! It's a different take on the Joker that the messy makeup fits better. More of a "philosophical thug" line... or that's what I've heard from my movie-seeing sources, anyway.

Huh. I will see! I am forgiving of adaptations, I think, since I don't often see illogical changes or stuff. Especially when they take the source material so seriously, like they do with these high budget comic book movies.
