Today I made the mistake of breaking one of my cardinal rules—I do not run, unless my life is in danger. Nothing else is worth that effort. But I was late to class because I'd went back for my homework so I decided to run and beat the clock, I slipped on my sandals and feel up some steps, I ended up sprawled flat on my back on the ground, and then I just ... laid there.

Someone came to check on me, probably due to my distinct lack of doing anything at all, but all I've got is a tiny scrape on my pinky toe. I'm only wearing shorts and a T-shirt, and I fell onto concrete, so I probably did some fancy rolling, there.

No running. It's a good rule!
