A little wank now and then is healthy in a fandom. No but seriously I thought it was well stated- as much as I ship about everything out there and its brother in this fandom, I feel the same way about throwing characters into stereotypical roles for the sake of jizzing over prettily computer-generated pixels. It is as you say, like glass on a chalkboard.

IAWTC so much, and I too ship pretty much everything. What's the point of writing/reading, for example, a Dante/Nero if Dante acts like a burly serial rapist and Nero like a weepy 8 year old girl? Create original characters and leave those guys alone!

THANK YOU. Hell, I know right? As much as I think the Dante + Nero pair is cute, I do find it amusing on that particular behalf that the game reveals Nero to be equally as much of a hardass as Dante and straight as an arrow. And Dante still yet to be determined anything otp-wise.
