I AM SORT OF SELF-CONSCIOUS ABOUT MY LIST. It is not particularly sophisticated or edgy and yet will contain titles that make it seem like I am trying to appear sophisticated and edgy.

Man, that was a mostly depressing list. I had to leave a lot of my favorites off, too, because even if I love them they did not dramatically affect me in that forever and forever kind of way. Which is sad, because I really wanted to go on about how much I love Lamb: The Gospel of Biff, Christ's Childhood Pal. Maybe it belongs, actually, it was sort of scarring, too. Just not in my formative years, I guess.

My workload in all my classes has dropped to essentially nothing, which I think means everyone is gearing up for final exams, but I don't know, this is my first semester at university. Maybe it's just a happy homework scheduling coincidence. Everything is very calm on campus. I had nothing to do yesterday so I rekeyworded all my icons, added every school I can remember attending to my profile—it's still short at least three—and walked around the perimeter of my school.

Dude, I live in a crappy place. It reminds me of lots of places in Southern California except without all the people. Los Angeles except without the beach. Sylmar. Van Nuys. Freaking Burbank—I have returned from whence I came. I picked a college town that's essentially the same as the city I was born in, and I really can't stand LA.

day02 Yesterday I played the grand piano downstairs uninterrupted for about an hour. I also found my favorite kind of milk, which should count towards this meme, because it initially made me extremely happy. I didn't know at the time that it was spoiled, and I didn't even admit that it was spoiled until I'd chocked down an entire glass of it. That's how happy I was ... initially.

» Rocking and loading as opposed to rocking and rolling; When I decided to change my username from sterlingsylver, I was torn between rocknroll and rocknlocknload. The second one was too long, not for the character limit but I didn't want a name that long, the other one wasn't lame enough for me.

» Zombies; Zombies are man's mortal enemy, and I am determined to fight them whenever the need arises. Also, I fucking love zombie movies. I love them almost as much as I love pizza.

» Sheena's boobs; Sheena's boobs are glorious, and though the game does not objectify her at all, you'll be hard pressed to find someone who has not noticed them. Seriously. Not even one.

» Laughing at Spock; I love the Star Trek episodes that end with McCoy or Kirk or someone saying something sarcastic directed at the green-blooded, pointy-eared freak, and then the entire bridge crew turns around and laughs as Spock crosses his arms and stands there looking disgruntled. You can tell he's a Vulcan, because he so does not care that they're making fun of him, no.

I don't handle boredom well. It gives me flashbacks to the beginning of the year where I barely did anything at all for months and felt like I was slowly going insane.

THIS WEEK IN BRITTANY'S LJ HISTORY.

2oo2: Went with my family on a trip to Las Vegas. Our house was infested with ants, one of which got trapped in freezer and got turned into an antcicle.

2oo3: Felicia stayed with us, we started fucking around with an Ouja board and had fun times with that. By which I mean not. Got into a car accident and won a free ambulance ride for making the utterance, "Gee, my neck kind of hurts," and my refusal to go to the ER was overridden because I was just one month short of being eighteen.

2oo4: Bryce and I were few weeks into our summer in Japan. We watched Hero before anyone else got to, saw Spiderman 2 with a Japanese audience, which was creepy, and we somewhat missed the utter lack of fireworks.

2oo5: Audra and I got drunk for the first time. She passed out after a Smirnoff and a half, I drank almost an entire bottle of sake without the benefit of a glass and got more fucked up than I've been in my entire life. I swore that it was the first and last time I'd ever drink.

2oo6: Fucking Ozzfest, Disturbed played one of the best shows I've ever seen. People set fire to their T-shirts and danced around bonfires. We met Nick, our German BFFL, this week, too. I beat Devil May Cry for the first time.

2oo7: Worked. Complained about DDD!drama, apparently, though I don't even remember what it was about anymore. I hit a fire hydrant with my parent's Tahoe and completely destroyed the passenger side door. Worked more. Saw the fireworks at Magic Mountain because we were still working in the area on the fourth.

Wow. The first week of July seems to be somewhat eventful for me, generally speaking.
