Oh, god, I love this show. It's hilariously horrible, but not quite as cringe-inducing as, say, the original Transformers. Or Teenager Mutant Ninja Turtles.

It's brilliant.

Bryce and I fucked up our lab and had to start over, so we have to wait for twenty minutes before we can get results. I have nothing to do but be on the computer! It's awful.

Neither do I, but it's becoming so screamingly boring that I think I might go lay down outside and attempt napping. Is the lab anything cool?

Outside sleeping is not recommended! And no, it was ... respiration rate of snails. And turning some chemical from red to yellow back to red. Neither of them worked.

It didn't work out too well. There were spiders in my hair.

My father blames the fact that we always have ants in our car on the fact that my habit of drifting off outside allows them to hitchhike on me.

I have absolutely no idea. Our experiment was totally messed up and we don't have enough data to do the math. YAY SCIENCE.

Well, uh. The tiny brown dots on my arms turned out to be multiple minuscule ticks instead of dirt. So.

What, don't they let you redo experiments?

We did redo it. It was still wrong because it turns out the teacher had left out one bottle of the wrong concentration of the chemical and GUESS WHICH ONE WE GOT. Also, we were the only ones in the class to happen to get the wrong one. And in the end the teacher mentioned that some people probably should have read the labels instead of trying to hurry through the assignment even though the label was only ONE LETTER DIFFERENT and all in all it was a very unsuccessful day. Anyway.

That are almost too small to see. I have just now returned from my second trip to the bathroom to try to find and remove them, true story!

That sounds annoying and not entirely your fault.

You know, I think you have just managed to do in two comments what my father has been trying to do for a month. I WILL NOW TRY VERY HARD TO NOT FALL ASLEEP OUTSIDE. VERY HARD.

It was frustrating, because each try took thirty minutes--which is not long, but twenty minutes of that was just staring at the stupid snail which I think was dead anyway, it never moved!

Tell your dad to sacrifice his blood to the tick gods to convince you next time.

We are metaing about why Kairi is not a weak character. This has the potential to reach thousands of actual words, not characters. Fortunately LJ just lost my latest two-comment addition to the discussion and I'm giving up and making

voodoobob do it instead in frustration.

Your insights! They were destroyed. I admit, I never found the girl all that strong myself--if only because I don't actually recall her doing all that much and that's how I tend to judge these things.

Eh, if you looked at it thematically she was pretty cool. Which I do. Compulsively.

She never interested me because she wasn't particularly proactive? She mostly responded to things that happened to her, and while those responses were sometimes cool it still made her mostly reactive. I couldn't tell you what Kairi's personal objectives, wants, et cetera were, beyond a vague desire for her friends to be alive and happy.

I am also really fuzzy about what happened in Kingdom Hearts. I played it forever ago.

And this reminds me of the

fandomsecrets wank about whether or not the Disney princesses are strong characters. Which is appropriate, really.
