Oh, god, I love this show. It's hilariously horrible, but not quite as cringe-inducing as, say, the original Transformers. Or Teenager Mutant Ninja Turtles.

It's brilliant.

Edit: No! We're out of episodes! Nooooo.

THERE WAS AN EPISODE WHERE THIS CRAZY GUY RODE A HORSE EVERYWHERE, AND HE BEAT ON SPEED WITH HIS WHIP WHENEVER HE GOT ANGRY

IT WAS AMAZING

GOD WELL NOW I JUST HAVE TO GET ON AIM AND MAKE YOU LINK ME TO IT

DAMN YOU

WE WATCHED IT ON DVD, BUT HOLD ON, I WILL FIND THE NAME OF THE EPISODE

DON'T BLAME ME

Of course I'm going to blame you, don't make me laugh.

Look what I found.

SAD FACT. I know exactly what this is talking about, and it's a throwaway piece of dialogue from an episode I haven't seen in-- ... it's gotta be four years.

THESE ARE AWESOME.

I've noticed useless fanstuff is one of the things our brains like to hold onto the hardest. Unlike, for example, the current location of my driver's license.

I AM GLAD YOU APPROVE.

What do you need it for?

I TOTALLY DO. I NEED TO SHOW THEM TO MY DAD.

Driving.

AWESOME. Are you on AIM? Because if so I need to switch computers.

[identity profile] rocknload.livejournal.com 2008-06-27 04:14 pm (UTC)(link)
You don't need it for that! Only if you get pulled over.

I am not. In class, on laptop!

[personal profile] unicorn 2008-06-27 04:19 pm (UTC)(link)
My parents won't let me drive them unless I have it, and I can't drive alone! So yes.

Terrible, terrible. I kind of skipped out of class early today. I couldn't stand it any longer.

[identity profile] rocknload.livejournal.com 2008-06-27 04:44 pm (UTC)(link)
That's terrible! If you are actually licensed, cops usually don't mind too much.

Bryce and I fucked up our lab and had to start over, so we have to wait for twenty minutes before we can get results. I have nothing to do but be on the computer! It's awful.

[personal profile] unicorn 2008-06-27 04:47 pm (UTC)(link)
Neither do I, but it's becoming so screamingly boring that I think I might go lay down outside and attempt napping. Is the lab anything cool?

Outside sleeping is not recommended! And no, it was ... respiration rate of snails. And turning some chemical from red to yellow back to red. Neither of them worked.
unicorn: a unicorn skull. (Default)

[personal profile] unicorn 2008-06-27 07:26 pm (UTC)(link)
It didn't work out too well. There were spiders in my hair.

.....what is the respiration rate of snails...?

[identity profile] penginchan.livejournal.com 2008-06-27 07:58 pm (UTC)(link)
My father blames the fact that we always have ants in our car on the fact that my habit of drifting off outside allows them to hitchhike on me.

I have absolutely no idea. Our experiment was totally messed up and we don't have enough data to do the math. YAY SCIENCE.

... OOPS I APPEAR TO BE LOGGED IN AS BRIDGETTE

[personal profile] unicorn 2008-06-27 08:12 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, uh. The tiny brown dots on my arms turned out to be multiple minuscule ticks instead of dirt. So.

What, don't they let you redo experiments?
ext_57246: (i shall be AS A GOD)

[identity profile] rocknload.livejournal.com 2008-06-27 08:16 pm (UTC)(link)
Wait. Right now, you are INFESTED WITH BLOOD SUCKING INSECTS?!

We did redo it. It was still wrong because it turns out the teacher had left out one bottle of the wrong concentration of the chemical and GUESS WHICH ONE WE GOT. Also, we were the only ones in the class to happen to get the wrong one. And in the end the teacher mentioned that some people probably should have read the labels instead of trying to hurry through the assignment even though the label was only ONE LETTER DIFFERENT and all in all it was a very unsuccessful day. Anyway.

That are almost too small to see. I have just now returned from my second trip to the bathroom to try to find and remove them, true story!

That sounds annoying and not entirely your fault.

[identity profile] rocknload.livejournal.com 2008-06-27 08:26 pm (UTC)(link)
You know, I think you have just managed to do in two comments what my father has been trying to do for a month. I WILL NOW TRY VERY HARD TO NOT FALL ASLEEP OUTSIDE. VERY HARD.

It was frustrating, because each try took thirty minutes--which is not long, but twenty minutes of that was just staring at the stupid snail which I think was dead anyway, it never moved!

[personal profile] unicorn 2008-06-27 09:18 pm (UTC)(link)
Tell your dad to sacrifice his blood to the tick gods to convince you next time.

Maybe that's why it wasn't respirating...

Sorry for the delay, I had to. Essay over six thousand characters in an LJ comment about Kingdom Hearts at someone. I will never be free.

[personal profile] unicorn 2008-06-28 02:28 am (UTC)(link)
We are metaing about why Kairi is not a weak character. This has the potential to reach thousands of actual words, not characters. Fortunately LJ just lost my latest two-comment addition to the discussion and I'm giving up and making [livejournal.com profile] voodoobob do it instead in frustration.

[identity profile] rocknload.livejournal.com 2008-06-28 03:25 am (UTC)(link)
Your insights! They were destroyed. I admit, I never found the girl all that strong myself--if only because I don't actually recall her doing all that much and that's how I tend to judge these things.
unicorn: a unicorn skull. (Default)

[personal profile] unicorn 2008-06-28 03:49 am (UTC)(link)
Eh, if you looked at it thematically she was pretty cool. Which I do. Compulsively.
ext_57246: (Default)

[identity profile] rocknload.livejournal.com 2008-06-28 03:54 am (UTC)(link)
She never interested me because she wasn't particularly proactive? She mostly responded to things that happened to her, and while those responses were sometimes cool it still made her mostly reactive. I couldn't tell you what Kairi's personal objectives, wants, et cetera were, beyond a vague desire for her friends to be alive and happy.

I am also really fuzzy about what happened in Kingdom Hearts. I played it forever ago.

And this reminds me of the [livejournal.com profile] fandomsecrets wank about whether or not the Disney princesses are strong characters. Which is appropriate, really.

[personal profile] unicorn 2008-06-28 03:57 am (UTC)(link)
You want to see the thread? So far Lyssie and I have taken up five comments with how she tries to subvert her reactive role in subtle ways, though you are not technically incorrect. You probably do not want to see the thread.

Very much so!
ext_57246: (Default)

[identity profile] rocknload.livejournal.com 2008-06-28 04:02 am (UTC)(link)
Why wouldn't I want to see the thread? Does something terrible lurk within?

That wank confused me utterly. Debate is impossible when people either hate the company absolutely, or are so hypnotized by the ~MAGIC OF DISNEY~ that it's like they've joined a cult. AND NEITHER POINT OF VIEW MAKES SENSE.

I don't know. Too much meta? The girl trying to say that Sora sacrificed himself for some reason other than Kairi in her own essay above ours is kind of hilarious.

True enough, and I think this may be a repeat.

I didn't realize how bad it was until I started actually reading it before going "you're wrong."

I should have just stuck with denying her points without looking at them.
