莫非你是現在告訴我/你愛我一無所有?
GETTING BACK INTO THIS LJ THING AGAIN. As is probably obvious, I've spent the last few months barely on the site at all. Partly because I don't much feel like ... well, much of anything, to be super honest. I'm back at school and I've been spending most of my time hanging out in my apartment and playing with my cat. There's lots of class and homework and regular work, too—in fact, I gotta get up early tomorrow and drive out to a nearby site to make sure the map my dad drew actually corresponds to reality—but all in all it feels pretty low key.
I'm taking thirteen credits of three Chinese classes and starting the process of applying for a study abroad program next semester. I might as well major in this shit. Seriously. Thus far the only benefit is being able to randomly say things like 你不太聰明了 to people like my brother who piss me off, but I have dreams. Big dreams.
My kitten's name is Quincey, BTW. She's five months old and slightly hard of hearing—or maybe more than slightly, it's really hard to tell with cats I think. She chews on everything in the world, I swear. She's also developing some sort of chin acne, it's just a little gross.

With your focus on Chinese, I believe it's safe to assume you'll be heading off for somewhere in China...
Actually, with Chinese you could be anywhere because with over a billion Chinese people in this world, it's becoming a very useful language. I would like to take it, but one thing at a time. I'm still trying to get down Korean. O_o;;

Haha, I tried Korean. Tried and failed. I know how the Hangul alphabet works, like theoretically, and I've been told time and time again that it's the most well designed alphabet and most efficient writing system in the world but I can't for the life of me keep those symbols in my head.

I think it would be good for you to get out of the country and away from all the stress of your regular life.
I'm planning on going moving Korea next month to teach English at a University (although to attain a visa easier, i'm going to be under a Korean Language Study Program, but whatever. It's free and they're paying me to be there. Sweetness! lol XD

I'm super excited about this.
If I like it there, I'll try and search for a job that's actually within my field (media or marketing).

Your Chinese is so much better than mine, sob.

idk if that's true, and if it is that's probably less to do with any skill and more to do with me spending two to three hours in Chinese class five days a week, sooooob
