WELL, THEY ARE BOTH PRETTY GROSS. Ticks are harder to get rid of, considering mosquitoes just fly away after they're done, but I have a blood type apparently that they prefer to feast on. SO I'M BIASED. I've been fortunate enough to not run into a tick yet.
I'VE NEVER HAD A TICK EITHER but god the just seem so fucking disgusting. Mosquitoes are like, more normal. I DON'T KNOW levade is telling me how she has a tick head stuck between her fingers and she's just going to let it fall off because otherwise she'd have to dig it out with a needle.
When I was much younger, I once had a tick on the inside of my fucking ear. Another time, I had one on the back of my neck, and I thought it was a scab, so I picked it off, and when I looked at it, I SCREAMED AND THREW IT TO THE GROUND BECAUSE IT WAS A FUCKING TICK.
The tick's head burrowing in thing? Nah, that's an old wives' tale. They just cling for a day or so and fall off. People thought that because you can get a mild infection from it sticking in there and the slight swelling made the head less visible.
Even though I know mosquitoes carry all kinds of nasty diseases and are disgusting, filthy creatures, I once woke up from a nap with a tick attached to my arm and passed out it was that disgusting. :/

THEN AGAIN, LAST SUMMER I GOT AT LEAST FIFTY MOSQUITO BITES ON MY ARMS. Ticks are more gross, but mosquitoes are definitely more pesky.

I'd also like to note that ticks give you lyme's but mosquitoes give you so many goddamn things. They're like a flying invisible pestilence.

Health dangers are irrelevant we're clearly judging this on totally irrational criteria.

Lyme Disease, on the other hand, mimics MS and is much harder to diagnose correctly. D:
