Problem: I think of the Chinese numbers as being Japanese. If I'm writing, 我二十三歲, I'm thinking, wǒ ni-juu-san suì. Or, if I'm being particularly inattentive, it comes out, wǒ ni-juu-san-sai. This is frustrating and when I have to say any of it out loud, the subsequent English-Japanese-Chinese translation that happens sounds about as awkward as you might imagine, and sometimes I slip up and just say the Japanese anyway. But I can't freaking break myself out of the habit, because when I think of the Japanese ordinals writing the characters is effortless, and I'm, well, lazy.

And it's screwing me up. This is what's been troubling me the most, today. I bet you wish you had my problems, right?

Also I'm suffering from this really horrible dazed and cloudy feeling which means that whenever I encounter a problem somewhat more severe than that one I try and focus on it, but it sort of slips away. I don't know what it is. I know I haven't eaten a real meal since, uh ... I'm not even going to say.
