I can see it in their eyes—THEY'VE ALREADY DIED INSIDE.

Okay, I must share this.

Tonight I was at an international students party for my university here and I met a graduate student from mainland China. He introduced himself by his English name, which was Dean. I smiled politely. I mean I didn't say anything because my (sort of) pop culture references are worthless here, as a rule, but you all know what I was thinking. "Nice to meet you, Dean!" I said.

"Dean Winchester," he continued.

"What," I said. It's like the words are jumping out of my head and into his mouth, so I must be hallucinating or mishearing or something.

"Do you know it?"

"What," I said.

"My favorite show, it's Supernatural!" he said. "Dean is my favorite, so I picked my English name after him! The new season starts this week! Have you seen it?"

I said, "No. Fucking. Way."

I don't mean to sound wanky or anything, but I'm starting to get sick of women being graphically murdered on Supernatural. The show just wasn't this violent in the first and second seasons. Sure, there was blood, but the dude from "Home" getting his hand getting stuck in the garbage disposal was horror movie corny violence; a close-up a teenage girl being drowned in a toilet? It feels different, and I don't like it.

That said, "Criss Angel is a Douchebag" and "After School Special" were better episodes than I've seen in a while.
