rocknloadSo I forgot to file for financial aid by the deadline—but honestly, it wasn't me forgetting so much as it's me not wanting to fucking file for it. I took out a lot of loans this semester, and they didn't even last me, and when you consider that I've got three more to go this just doesn't make a lot of financial sense, especially since I own money on my truck and the laptop. I talked to my dad a few days ago, and surprisingly enough he thought it might be possible for me to do the next two semesters without any loans if I work and I'm careful and the surveying business picks up ... we'll see.
... I want to take way too many languages. Now I'm taking Spanish, German, and Chinese, and if I had my way I'd somehow manage to fit in French, upper division Japanese, and Portuguese. Without dropping any of what I'm taking already. Seriously, I could do this all day, every day. I don't think I'm smart enough to do six classes at once but man if I had the time I think I might actually try.
I've freaking love to major in Spanish, too, in addition to the linguistics degree, but I don't even have time for that. Really, that might be just an excuse to take Portuguese. Everyone keeps saying that Portuguese is awesome, and goddamnit, I wanna see.
