Dude, I'd totally buy that -- he might enjoy that sort of thing, being a super genius himself and also pretty young. Of course, most of the kids he's teaching aren't going to identify with him, since to your average teenager Professor Spock is going to be creepy, a brutal critic, and off putting, but that wouldn't stop him from identifying with them! The more awkward the better, man.
