So I've had swine flu since Sunday or Monday and I've barely gotten a damn thing at all done since, except go home to my parents' house. I'd say it hasn't been that bad, but that's probably because they gave me Tylenol with codeine for the pain and I've been basically stoned since Wednesday. I think I was on the fast track for developing bronchitis, too, but fortunately the school nurse foresaw that possibility and I actually had my fist dose of antibiotics a few hours before the rattling in my chest started, and it quickly subsided. I haven't improved in days but I don't seem to be getting worse, either. Maybe I'll be healthy soon.

I don't even know how to deal with missing more than a week of classes and homework, though. I had good attendance before and A's in most of my courses, but now? I'd probably be worried more, especially since most of my teachers won't answer my emails about it, but all I feel like doing right now is blinking at the television in my cold medicine-induced haze.

I think that if you explain that you had swine flu, they'd understand why you chose not to come into class.
