Aug. 3rd, 2009 01:56 pmYou might have heard I'm not sleeping much recently. I've only been complaining about it everywhere and constantly.
I went out to run errands this afternoon with my folks, since because I've been so freaking sick I haven't actually left the house in ... oh, geez, I don't even know. Except for doctor appointments. So I went out today, first off to drop off a bunch of books at Bookmans and then spend all the credit—I just grabbed comic books by the handful, since they cost me like nothing. Actually nothing, technically. Mostly I was looking for X-Factor, but one of the ones I grabbed was an old Cable because it has Shatterstar on the cover. Later I discovered that inside are Shatterstar and Rictor being completely goddamn mopey and adorable and lame. And then Shatterstar gets shot. I love this random issue of Cable.
Then my parents stopped by the eye doctor to pick up my new frames. This wasn't supposed to be a surprise, but my parents planned this out back when I was damn near incoherent so it was the first I really heard about it. Of course I had absolutely no choice in the style, no way can anyone afford to get me new lenses so the eye people needed to find frames that would fit my current lenses exactly—and somehow I ended up with these completely adorable funky brown square glasses.
So today's been a pretty good day! Unfortunately a bit after that I got too tired to continue our noble quest, and I asked my dad to take me home. They continue on, I'm sure. I need to stay awake now so I have a chance of sleeping through the night tonight. It's so tempting to just pass out—I woke up at five this morning, after being up until after two—but I must. Resist.
