how we made the tables turn;

Today I climbed up to the top floor of our tree house for the first time in several months, and then my loving family dismantled the ladder beneath me.
The advantages of this included the ability to shout insults and obscenities down at them from an unreachable height, and ... pretty much nothing else. As I watched, my dad assembled a new ladder made out of pieces of wood and nails gathered from other sections of the structure, which had been unofficially condemned. I told them, again and again, in a fake British accent, and to no avail, "This doesn't look at all secure."
Somehow, this terrible ordeal has left me completely filthy.

Date: 2008-04-25 12:34 am (UTC)Yes, I got down! Though I think the wireless network in my house actually would reach that far, since people who live around us used to steal it.
