My credit card was just declined at the place where I work, while I was trying to buy my brother a birthday present. The guy running the transaction was my boss. Apparently, no matter how much money I send them--and it was a lot--the bill magically never goes down at all and it's fucking maxed out.

So, no, that won't change. But maybe in a week I'll be able to laugh about the humiliation!

Pffft, the job pays minimum wage and I work about four hours a week, so it's not like it'd help much. Looks like I'll be making a decent check from my real job, but with my luck, something else will go wrong and I'll have to spend it on that.

It's just today. Everything went wrong today--lost my keys, misplaced my wallet, had trouble with my car, got fucking robbed on Mario Kart, harassed by my mom, so all those minor annoyances plus a couple fairly major ones just make me want to RESIGN FROM LIFE.

I'll probably be much more cheerful tomorrow.

I did. My balance is up and my limit is down, and I have basically no available money at all. The rational part of my brain tells me that this is probably mostly due to paying my tuition, which was necessary--the rest of my brain wants me to start burning things.

There is no reason you can't go outside and burn some stuff, practically speaking.

My only suggestion that's likely to help is to browse the internet mindlessly until you can put it in perspective. That usually works for me. Especially if stupid_free has something good. :/

The perspective I'm seeing it at now is actually probably accurate, unfortunately. I am in complete awe at how horrible today was. And stupid_free has nothing good, aside from stuff I already saw this morning when I couldn't sleep. Edit: I think the awkward way I worded that is rather indicative of what a great mood I'm in...
