I might take the bus to work, since I don't have enough money to put gas in my car, it suddenly occurs to me, and the needle on the gauge is telling me a sad, sad story. I'm thinking of starting to use public transportation to save money--having a car is awesome, don't get me wrong, but there's no reason I have to use it all the time.

Except for the fact that the buses stop running at seven. Hm. Conundrum. And I can think of about five people offhand who would loan me ten bucks for gas, and probably not even expect me to pay them back, but I don't need their money! I will figure out a way.

Learning that the new Animal Crossing for the Wii will let you transfer data from the DS version is awesome news. Cue more Wild World playing, because I want to have as much stuff as possible.

... God, I hate that dog across the street. Judging by the noises it makes, it's not too happy, either.

Speaking of Animal Crossing! My mule gets a letter in the mail. Dear Deirdre! I don't even know who you are! Weird. Maybe we'll be friends! Or not. From, Brittany. Sure, maybe it sounds a little bit like me, but why would I write an Animal Crossing letter to ... myself?

When it was on my flist like four times in a row and my mom was also talking about it I decided that maybe I oughtta give it a shot. Also, it's only like, thirty minutes long.

I thought it was entertaining, but when I got to the end, I was kind of like, "... Eh, what was the point of that?" Also, I might be crazy or reading too much into things, but I'm getting vibes of Joss being a bit bitter about conventional entertainment...

I'll probably rewatch it with my mom, though. Some things improve if you see them twice.

Okay, Captain Hammer made it a lot better, just because it's Mal Reynolds singing this stuff. But it's not an audacious enough play on the tropes they're highlighting to really make an impact on me past "meh." DONE BEFORE. Not that it isn't funny! Just underwhelming.

Pretty much, yeah. Also, the whole thing gets really angry at the end, which doesn't seem to really suit it.

He isn't! Well. His characters aren't super original or complex compared to a lot of other stuff--but they're really really likable. He could do a whole lot with that!

He's good at the part of characterization where the character connects with the audience! He really should.

He's definitely good at the other stuff, but yes, he's really good at connecting to the audience, which is probably why his fans are so crazy about his stuff. Scary crazy, even.

My dad says the point of Dr. Horrible was turning Horrible from wannabe evil to actually evil. I guess I'll have to rewatch it after all!

Kind of? It just wasn't the kind of thing that I was looking for a THEME in, and when it came up, I was like, "Eh." So, does it get your seal of approval? I'm still not sure if I like it or not.

It was kind of boring but well-done in general, in my final estimation. So I guess yeah. I think the part where he was a dork was done pretty badly in comparison to the transition period because they're just playing on really tired tropes to make you go ehehe how sympathetic the loservillian is! Which is lame. But the end works like it's supposed to, so BY THAT MEASURE it is success. Why am I typing so much oh my god.

Yeah, it wasn't all that interesting, in the end. I liked whoever played Dr. Horrible, though. How early should I get to the bus stop, do you think? I haven't taken a bus anywhere before, but I'm guessing five to ten minutes?

All the acting was pretty good! Hooray for acting.

Ten or fifteen minutes should do it - I always go early till I know how early/late they tend to be. LATENESS IS LESS UNUSUAL. How will you get home?

I would have outright hated it if the acting was not good, I think.

Then I should go soon! Bryce is going to pick me up. The fact that I'm trying to save money on gas by asking him to spend his money on gas hasn't even registered to him.
