Oh, man, I stupidly want this book. Rumor has it I might be getting a Kindle for my birthday, so I'll wait to see if anything happens there. I also really want this dress. I want to wear it on my birthday. Maybe I'll charge it, which would be stupid, and yet I feel I fucking deserve a dress.

It is! It seems less so when I put it the perspective of the fact that a pair of jeans that actually fits me costs the same amount. But then I remember that I only have one pair of jeans that fits me. Honestly if I find any money at all I should be spending it on underwear. UNDERWEAR MAKES AN UNEXCITING BIRTHDAY PRESENT TO MYSELF but what can you do.

And I like you for many reasons, including your intelligence, your conversational skills, your consideration of others, your fine taste in media, your constant failure to ever let me down in any way whatsoever—all of which I'm sure I've told you before on memes like this, so I will also throw in that whenever I'm pissed of and in a terrible mood and basically hating everyone I come into contact with simply because they are human, I am never unhappy to talk to you! PERHAPS YOU ARE NOT REALLY HUMAN.

Theoretically, a dress-wearing day would be one day when you needed neither jeans nor a top that fit you. It might actually be more economical than jeans! Not underwear, though. Underwear is always full of economy.

True! And dresses don't discriminate on height! Though realistically, I am not going to be wearing that dress to, say, class unless I am in a very dress-wearing mood, so I DUNNO HOW ECONOMICAL THAT IS.

I hate dresses and would never voluntarily wear them anywhere except formal occasions. I am trying to be unbiased and dress-positive over here.

I rarely wear dresses outside formal occasions because as much as I occasionally like them, it's just not worth the goddamn hassle. Plus you end up showing other people your underwear a lot, which doesn't trouble me overly but is sort of irritating.

I think it evolved from a desire to beat people.

Before I added you I actually stalked your journal a bit—I totally admit to being a creepy LJ stalker, and anyway we were in the same roleplay game back then, so it's not like that's totally weird—and I was really struck by how ridiculously kind and happy you seemed to be, just by your entries. After adding you and talking to you on Plurk and stuff, I have proven to NOT BE WRONG. You're seriously nice, and not in that meaningless wishy-washy adjective way, but in that I've never seen you be anything but nice and patient and considerate to anyone you talk to.

I KNOW, I bet it's adorable. I mean, it's probably also terrible because tie-in novels pretty much always are, but when you've got Shawn and Gus running around like the plot pretty much promises how could it not be some sort of adorable.
