You should tell me, in linguistics language, why my brain keeps thinking that someone's run their voices through an electronic thing to make them sound backwards. Their intonations are all funky! Their sentences don't end with the right sounds!

They're speaking Mandarin! In Mandarin (and all dialects of Chinese I am aware of actually) intonations actually change the meaning of the words, like it carries semantic data, unlike in English where intonation is a lot less important and more general and marks questions and sarcasm and a few other things. It's actually killing me right now because I can't break the habit of going "~?" at the end of all my questions and it sounds incredibly WTF to people here.

Ha, it doesn't even sound slightly weird to me anymore. It sounds like totally normal words I should definitely be able to understand, but inexplicably do not. My friend Kate and I were talking the other day how we know Chinese used to sound strange to us but we can't for the life of us remember like, what that weird sound actually was.

A SUBBED VERSION EXISTS ALREADY ON YOUTUBE I watched it to get the second part of the dialogue it's just pretty long and includes the whole scene leading up to that cuteness, which is long, very, uh, Asian drama-ish, and also slightly fucked up. Basically he proposes and she says she can't marry him because even though she's completely fucking gorgeous he's obviously only wanting to marry her out of pity because she has minor scarring on her leg. He flips out and runs around looking for boiling water to pour on his head to prove his love or something, since then they'll be terribly disfigured together. I DON'T EVEN KNOW.

Anyhow in the clip when he first starts talking he says, "Christine, I really really like you. Marry me?" She answers with, "Ah Jin, I really really (really) love you!" Yes, that is three reallys. Then she kisses him which I guess is yes. Then he whines at everyone else telling them to GTFO--"Go out! Go out! Okay! Bye-bye!" I CAN'T UNDERSTAND THE PART AFTER THEIR AMAZINGLY ADORKABLE KISSING but I guess he says, "Why are you like that?" And she's like, "Why am I like what?" Then he says, "Who told you to kiss like that?" The second part also sounds so freakishly genuine that they have to either be dating for real or be really good friends or something because man, I have seen a lot more of this drama by now and they are pretty terrible at acting. ADORABLY TERRIBLE but.
