yamiaudra's coming over later! I think I'm in the mood for some DMC1~, which I'm realizing is the only one of those games I ever just pick up and play 'cause I'm bored. If I need a DMC3 or 4 fix I just watch the cutscenes.

I wonder if I can go the whole day without watching that freakin' movie again.

Edit: I've used about fifty minutes of the three hundred I started with... That's... I think I can keep it down to ten bucks a week? Which is not saving a terrible lot of money.

I'm sick of the misuse of the term! You strike when you work for someone--it makes me think that maybe these folks think that they're doing LJ a service by posting on the site, rather than the other way around?

Their little "OH LAWD, LET'S STRIKE SO WE CAN GET BACK BASIC ACCOUNTS" idea is bullshit. SUP or whatever runs LJ anymore has made it clear that they want more profits, which is totally fine.
It's not like the non-paying users are doing anything more than eating up LJ's bandwidth.
I also don't see the problem in basic accounts going away. Aren't all of the people who are boycotting LJ for a day existing users that have access to basic accounts? WHY DO THEY CARE?

I can see the issue with SUP kinda sneaking around to get rid of them--which they did, but... holy overreaction, Batman. I love LJ, I spend massive amounts of time on this site, I've got a ton of different journals and... I am not freaking out about this.

Well yeah. SUP should've consulted the advisory board, but I still don't see a big deal. If people aren't paying for a service that suddenly gets taken away, I see no reason for them to be able to complain. :<
