You know, I've always liked Star Trek, I totally grew up with the show. I was practically indoctrinated as a child, and not just to like it, but to like the original series best of all. (My mother prefers The Next Generation, which makes the rest of us glance at each other shiftily whenever the topic comes up. She's the black sheep of this family.)

Rewatching the show as an adult has shown me something I did not know. I actually love this show. I freaking enjoy every single character and every single cheesy special effect and the color scheme and the outdated science and the character relationships and Kirk and Spock and McCoy and Sulu and Scotty and--well, yeah. Greatest show ever. That's all.

I'm seriously considering RPing Patrick Bateman and James T. Kirk somewhere. I've made journals and everything. Sigh. It's like a drug, man. I CANNOT KICK THE HABIT.

Edit: Which brings me to this--any RP game recommendations from the flist? I don't even know where to start looking, that's how out of the loop I am.

Well, TNG brilliantly used their time loop episode to make me feel like I was actually trapped in a time loop. I guess that's ... something.

Are there two time loop episodes? Or more? Because, seriously, whenever I see the time loop episode of TNG I get this horrible feeling that I have seen this before, pretty close but slightly different, and since it is a TIME LOOP episode it's actually a really strange feeling. VERY CLEVER ON THEIR PART.

Picard is pretty cool. He's also Professor X, too, though I don't like him much. I guess it would be more accurate to say that Patrick Stewart is made of awesome. He might equal George Takei's level of awesome, but that would take a great deal of debate to determine.

Patrick Steward did kinda carry TNG, so no argument. Someone who knows George Takei's awesome levels in more detail will have to have this debate.

I used to watch Voyager when I was in junior high and it was on the air! I remember virtually nothing about it except the hologram doctor. My parents assure me that it is real Star Trek, though, so my learnings inform me that liking it is totally okay!

The Doctor was pretty damn awesome. I think B'Elanna and Paris were my favorites, though. And Janeway herself, of course.
