This stuff happens all the time, in my house. In fact, I once tried something very similar, except the lock on the door was picked before I could make it all the way through the window!

Escape foiled?

My sister scared the one cat we have who isn't allowed outside through my bedroom screen and onto the roof one time! A low speed-chase commenced, and if I remember correctly, I was wearing very little at the time.

He was TERRIFIED by the great outdoors, in fact. Also, he was cornered by the side of the house--I was on the porch roof, not the roof roof--and I kind of creeped up on him all crouched over, very very slowly, so as not to scare him into bolting.
