Okay, so instead of sleeping tonight I spent the evening Googling very pretty pictures of Christian Bale and capslocking about my appreciation about them. With arcesso and mystified--who happen to be the proper age to do this sorta thing. I am not.

I'm also watching Swing Kids. Well, I was, until the character that looks and acts a hell of a lot like Jack Kelly--even calls himself a Cowboy--started turning Nazi.

... I'll be less pathetic tomorrow, I swear. Also, very tired.

Edit: This movie took a frightening turn. YOU AREN'T JACK, THOMAS.

I always google pretty pictures of Christian Bale. :D My friends like I'm insane just cuz I happen to think that he looks better in American Psycho then in the Batman movies. It's not my fault I prefer murderers to annoying millionaires. :D

I find myself most fond of him from, like, ages seventeen to nineteen. He was such a cute kid. Hot now, but way cute, then. ... Even while saying lines like, "So what if I'm a Nazi?"

I don't actually think he's all that hot now. He's alright, not, you know, horribly unfortunate looking but his Batman-voice is annoying as fuck.

He gets the best lines: "with an AXE TO THE FACE"

I agree, definately doesn't add anything to the film. Bale would have made a better Batman if he ditched the voice.

I think he's hot as hell as himself--the accent helps a whole lot, there. I don't find Bruce Wayne remotely attractive--no idea why. Something about his personality.

God, I hate the Batman-voice. I was just complaining to people about it tonight--apparently, they used SFX to make him sound even more bizarre.

I think he is hot as hell when he hasn't shaved. Rawr, baby. ...I have to admit that Batman is my least favorite hero. I don't know why.

I stayed up until six in the morning in order to watch the equivalent of Jack Kelly beating David with a club and then trying to kill him. I feel cheated.

It was awful! In the beginning of the movie he was so much like Jack and he was so devoted to his BFF, and that's why he ended up joining the Hitler Youth and then he fell for the propaganda and he kept trying to justify himself and then he was trying to strangle his BFF and it was very DX.

WHAT HAPPENED IN THE END

He realized that he was TRYING TO KILL HIS BEST FRIEND and then he suddenly decided that he didn't want to do that and so he stopped. Not!Jack had also done some other stuff in the movie--he inadvertently got his father arrested by the Gestapo and said some stuff that helped convince their third friend to commit suicide. I think that stuff messed him up, which is why he decided to be, like, all for Hilter and stuff.

Anyway, after deciding to not kill his BFF, he told his BFF to run before he got arrested and sent to prison camp. BFF refused. Not!Jack begged him to run. BFF refused and got arrested and taken away. That's the end of the movie.

I don't think it handled Not!Jack's change of heart all that well--he beat the crap out a couple of people for being evil Nazi dudes in the beginning, and then he was all... But Not!Jack wasn't the main character, the BFF was. They explained him better.

It was kind of jarring, though, that Not!Jack got into a fist fight to avenge the beating of one of his friends, and then later in the movie he tells that same friend, "Once we're done with the Gypsies and the Jews, we're coming for you."

I guess it was a good movie, but man, not happy material.

It sounds like they yanked his character around for effect a little, which is justifiable if done well, but... eh.
