I told my dad he should give me his pneumonia, since that'd get me out of work tomorrow and having to worry about school stuff for at least another week. Or yeah, I'd still have to worry about it, but I'd worry about it while rolling around in bed and going, "But I can't do anything about it, how unavoidably tragic."

"Hilarious," my father says. "You could die, too, that'd get you out of pretty much everything, wouldn't it?"

S-sigh.

He's like, genuinely delirious, too. I think that might have something to do with it.

And my parents are all paranoid about his disease. When I came up for dinner he was sitting on one end of the table and EVERYONE ELSE was sitting on the other side. I went to sit next to him because there were no other chair available, and my mom was like Nooooooooo.
