I woke up in the middle of the night and now roughly forty percent of my body is covered in terrible red welts which itch and burn and hurt and I look fucking hideous since patches of it are all over my face, too. I have no idea what the fuck is wrong with me but I can't stop scratching, especially when I'm asleep, and I took Benadryl and that didn't do much and I rubbed cortizone cream on it and that didn't do anything and I feel like I'm about to go nuts here from all the itching.

I can't go back to sleep because it itches and because I am completely horrified.

Gyaaaah, that sounds horrific. Doctor? Can you afford a trip to the E/R?

Can you think of anything unusual that might've happened nearby in the recent past? Do you have any odd symptoms other than the rash?

Could it be poison ivy? If so, I've heard Zanfel works really well, though I understand that it's expensive. Hope you feel better.

Go to a hospital, they might be hives from an allergy you don't know you have.

Example&Anecdote time: I made tea cakes for my mother using old cake flour, thinking it'd be fine, since it was closed up. I never brought them to her, because an hour after eating one I broke out into small red patches that got bigger and bigger until I was scratching and crying and had no idea what was going on and my dad picked me up and rather carried me to the hospital.

Turns out, allergy to mold in the old flour. One in a million chance of ever being exposed, and yet. So, yeah, y'oughta get that checked out, and soon. ♥;;;
