So my new extremely important opinion is that Aaron Yan has the prettiest eyes of any man I've ever seen.

















Also here is a picture of Jiro Wang carrying hin around like a piece of furniture or something, I included it because who cares.

Aaron Yan is so adorable and you might have noticed I have linked him a few times before in a very subtle way. This not my fault, he is in KO One which is my new favorite show of all time and even though he's trying to play some super stoic silent badass it barely covers up the fact that in reality he is actually too cute to even live. Anyhow me and my American friend here and blowing through that show while we make poor sleeping decisions, because it's amazing and whatever it's the weekend anyway. I am probably going to write fanfiction for this show. It is super embarrassing.

In about four hours we have to report to the school gym for some sort of international student thing, where we will totally represent our amazing and wonderful country. It's not uh, strictly mandatory, but the impression I'm getting is that it's just as good as. They even resorted to threatening us in email: "If you don't come, your national flags will be left alone in the corner of the volleyball court. >_<" They bolded it, btw, not me.

NO AMERICAN FLAG NOOOOOOOOOOO

Yeah there's no other Americans that we know of so it's gotta be us. Boo. Pics will be forthcoming if anybody who is not me actually bothers to take them.

THEY JUST MAKE UP GAMES FOR THEM TO DO, there's one where they force jiro and aaron to play demi moore and patrick swayzee's pottery wheel scene from Ghost, so it shouldn't surprise you that, yes, they were forced to kiss each other! fanservice, man, they are slaves to it.

the grammar is like japanese except nightmarish (though tbh I'd probably hate Japanese grammar too if I hadn't learned it in mid-adolescence through tons of exposure -- THE EASY WAY, MAN) and the phonology drives me insane, they distinguish between sounds that to me sound freaking identical, iirc it's stuff like, p, ph, and b are all different, so there's a voicing AND an aspirational contrast there, nooooo. also afaik there's no consistent system of romanization which is SUCH A PET PEEVE OF MINE.

THOUGH NGL i am still pretty obsessed with SHINee. they are so ... well, shiny.

OKAY SEE BEWARE THE GRAMMAR CLOSENESS the languages actually aren't related at all so it's just a ~coincidental resemblance ~ that can fuck you up later. IT'S LIKE HOW CHINESE AND ENGLISH GRAMMAR BIZARRELY RESEMBLES EACH OTHER IN PLACES, DON'T TRUST IT.

YEAH like some linguists do think they might be distantly related but i believe that this view is controversial because there's like, no real evidence to support this, so even if they are it's like, super super distantly.
