Vergil looks up from the row of decimated corpses, and he shakes the blood off Yamato as he sheathes his sword. “How unpredictable, Dante,” he says. “How hilarious,” he says.

“You know it.” Dante grins. “C’mon, you gotta be into somethin’ besides power and all that boring shit.”

“No.”

“Hey, what if bonin’ a chick would get you ultimate power?”

Vergil stares at Dante for a second too long—and he jerks his gaze away quickly.

Too late. “Dude,” Dante says. “Sick! You didn’t even ask if she was hot!”
